Steve Jobs

“Musicians play their instruments. I play the orchestra.”

Steve Jobs..... This is the movie that should have been made instead of the original "Jobs" movie back in 2013. Virtually every aspect of this movie was better than the previous film. This movie had better acting, better writing, much better cinematography, and overall was just more engaging. I just finished watching the Ashton Kutcher Jobs movie and I found myself losing interest quite early in the film. It just wasn’t on the same level as Michael Fassbender’s version of Steve Jobs. Now this movie really won’t be for everyone because it really isn’t as most people would describe as exciting. This movie relies on a fast paced and well written dialogue to help keep you engaged and it does just that. This movie feels a lot like the award winning movie “The Social Network” and that is because it is written by the same talented person Aaron Sorkin. Because of this excellent writing, it allows for the creation of great characters and specifically, will make you think differently about Steve. This was a very different and harsh depiction of the man that brought you Apple. He wasn’t really the character that the public saw and this movie did a great job of showing that side. Seth Rogan is amazing as Steve Wozniak. There are some things in this movie that I am not so sure if I am fan of or not. This movie was really didn’t even feel like a movie. I felt like a mix of a documentary, movie, or a play. This movie was basically all about the dialogue that happened behind the launching of his big products. It would lead up to the event and then cut out to the dialogue leading up to the next event. This will tick some people off because it builds to a big scene and then cuts out. I’m still undecided if I like that or not. One more thing that would have done differently is go into more detail of Steve’s mental issues. Apart from being an asshole, you really don't see or hear of any of the other issues he was dealing with.
