Fantastic Four (2015)

The Fantastic Four is well..... Not so fantastic. With all the reboots that have been going on lately, this one seemed to fall short. With a talented cast of Miles Teller, (who is coming off of a Oscar worthy role in the movie Whiplash) Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, and Jamie Bell, the performances just weren't there. I have seen all of these people act and do fantastic jobs but when it came time for the Fantastic Four movie, sparks didn't fly. This I think is due to a dull dialogue that doesn't really bring any of these characters to life. You never really build a connection to any of these characters and you need that in a good movie. The action in this movie is few and far between. Fantastic Four is quite possibly the least action-filled action movie in Marvel history which is a big let down. People want to go to see a marvel movie that keeps you on your feet with action and intensity. Having said that, when there was special effects and action scenes, they were alright. With the plot points of inter-dimensional travel, the visual effects were neat. Do I sound kind of unenthusiastic? Well that's because I am. I feel that this movie could have been so much more with the cast of talented actors they brought on board. I assume there were be sequels in this series so lets hope those don't fall below the expectation line.
