Kung Fu Panda 3 is back and better than ever! When the supernatural villain Kai begins his reign of terror across China defeating all the Kung Fu masters, Po is the only one who can stop him. The only way he can defeat him is if he learns to master Chi. When Po’s long lost father suddenly comes back into the picture and says that he can teach him to master Chi, Po leaves to go train so he can defeat Kai. One of the biggest concerns that I have with animated movie sequels is that I worry that they will pull a Shrek. Taking something that was original and fun and then driving it into the ground with sequels that only got worse and worse. The key is to keep making sequels that are new, fun, and also help grow and develop the franchise; this movie did all of those things. Not only was this a very entertaining movie to watch, but it also had a lot of heart and great themes for the whole family to enjoy. Finding out who you really are in this world, how to balance having two different father figures, and also finding what makes you happy in life and doing it. Along with the great values, this film brought a lot of humor to the table. There were quite a few great jokes and funny parts throughout the film that is not only humorous for kids, but also for adults. I also have to say that this is one of the most beautiful animation films I have ever seen. The animation was so clear, colorful, and very aesthetically pleasing to view. This series has always had great animation and it’s great to see it only get better and better. Really the only thing that I would critic about this film is that it at times can feel rushed because of how short the movie is. Other than that, this has to be one of the better animated movies that I have seen in the last few years so go out and see it!
